Wilderness South Africa Garden Route
The self-catering accommodation for two people consists of a large 10x5m open-plan space and an adjoining 'bath house', with hot water shower.
The open trusses and carefully chosen pieces lend an air of whimsical elegance and restful comfort. Crisp quality linen on the iron double bed, a candle chandelier, old Cape table and original art all contribute to the style.
At night you have the choice between solar powered lights or the romantic atmosphere of candles and lamps.
The well equipped kitchen has a gas stove and fridge.
Linen and towels are supplied, as well as filter coffee, tea, milk, sugar and spices to start you off.

Outside, the veranda offers a shaded place to relax and enjoy the views, with two loungers on the small grass terrace inviting you to soak up the sun.
Wood is provided for the outdoor braai area.
THE RIVER
A 10 minute walk takes you down to the Touws River, that runs through the propert, where you can enjoy your very own private pool.
Completely secluded, this is the place to spend a couple of relaxing hours.
ACTIVITIES & ATTRACTIONS
Forest walks, excellent bird watching, swimming in the river. On the property and the forest across the river small game and birds can be seen like Bushbuck, Duiker, tortoises, monkeys, Fish Eagles, Malachite Kingfishers and Knysna Loeries, to name but a few.
Nearby you can canoe on the Wilderness lake system (about 3 minutes away), go to the beach (about 5 minutes away), go horse riding and visit the "Babe in the City" pastoral setting of Hoekwil.
There are also many opportunities for hiking and mountain biking in the immediate vicinity.
ACCESS
For conventional vehicles, and especially in wet weather, you have to park on higher ground and walk the 50m through the fynbos down to the cabin.

RATES: Low season: R500 per night for two people.
High Season (15 Des - 15 Jan & Easter Holidays): R650 per night for two people.
